Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals have reached an agreement that will make Murray the second highest paid quarterback in the league. NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the Cardinals offered the 4th year quarterback and five-year $230.6 million extension with $160 million in fully guaranteed money.
In his first three seasons Murray has accumulated 11,480 passing yards and 70 touchdowns to 34 interceptions. He is by far the best performing quarterback from his draft class and is coming off of his best season in Arizona with 3,787 passing yards, 24 TDs, 10 interceptions, and a 100.6 QBR.
Arizona went 11-6 (9-5 with Kyler as the starter) and seen a wild card round exit after a full team meltdown against the Rams. The Cardinals has seen steady improvement with Kyler under center and each season has been better than the last. Who knows, this could be the Cardinals year.
